Been a while, huh?

So, it seems like I haven’t written anything for a while. I mean sure, just recently I posted a bunch of things, but they were written in september… So I decided to write something more. Like, I don’t really know what, but I did see a bunch of movies. Like the… Oh yes! The Judge with Robert Downey Jr. and what was the other one? …
O ja! The Interstellar. It was one of teh few sci-fy I can actually see. It was nice and I liked the whole idea of interconnected timelines. I love when timelines are connected or when there’s time travel to the past when it is actually relevant, like… I don’t know, for example how it was in HP 3 or even in X-men: Days of Future past. And then there is this one book where it really is interconnected like to the point that you have to directly interact with your past’s self. Okay, the english original is called Circle of Magic: Danger in the Palace. And this is book five out of six. I have them all and I’ve read them all, but this fifth one will always be my favourite.
And seriously, if you get your hand on it, read it. It’s worth it. I mean sure, it’s just this little book, but I like it.
As for the main reason that I haven’t been writing, well, I have a lot of schoolwork to do and I have been reading a lot of stories and also playing Grimrock. Yes, I know – shocker. But well, it’s like the best game invented! And I just can’t wait to get my hands on Grimrock 2. From what I’ve been told, it’s awesome!

I’ve also been writing stories. Lately, I’ve been a lot into fanfiction and been writing it a lot. Mainly Grimrock fanfiction, but I’m also a big fan of crossovers and so some of my Grimrock stories are crossed with for example Harry Potter or something. But it’s not just Grimrock I write, I also write HP crossovers. And lately, I’ve been thinking about writing an Avengers go into Grimrock story, but I have yet to figure out how to do it so that they end in there. I mean, I could just have Loki magick them there with a botched spellwork, but the thing is it would be a shame if Loki wasn’t there as well. And while a botched spellwork could do it, it’s not enough. So I will probably have to figure out something better.
Hopefully, my mind will supply me with something soon.
Because, recently, I figured how to make Grimrock portraits and therefore my custom characters with my own portraits and not with just what I download. So… I googled a lot and found a cute chibi avengers Picture so I disected it to the right sizes and created first and foremost Loki, then Tony, Hawkeye and Thor and as an afterthought a portrait of Hulk. Though I’m not playing with him just yet. So far, I’m playing with the other four. And more or less without cheating. The one thing I did though was to add some extra traits. Like headhunter for example and of course, thunderstruck.
Heh. Maybe I will go and listen to some AC/DC.
So bye.

Writing and visitors

(Originally written on 18. 8. 2014)

Hi,

today my aunt Hana and my cousin’t daugter Eliška came to stay with us for a few days. They came around noon and then Eliška started to cuddle the cat. During that time, I tried to help solve a problem or two with my aunt’s tablet. Sadly, most of the stuff couldn’t be resolved, but at least, we managed to right the game that was displayed upside down.

Me and Eliška also played some Magic the Gathering with the packs I have. I have several and we switched them around a lot, except the one main one, that is only mine and nobody’s else! I will never let anyone else handle that one, as I spent a lot of time putting it together, and even now, from time to time, I swap cards round in it.

Okay, then my aunt Majka came and the “adults” went into the forest. Me and Eliška stayed home and we played some computer games and also some more Magic. And then the others were back and we decided to grill something. Like cheese. And so we did. And it was deilicious!

Also, when the evening came, I decided it was time to start writing again. So first I wrote part of the DragonOrder chronicles, that will never be published anywhere and then I opened the file with the Eagle of Hogwarts and started writing. I don’t have any idea where I’m going with the story, but it will lead somewhere, for sure!

Okay, that’s probably it.

The Epic Party

The Epic PartyOkay, I decided to write about my Epic Party. Obviously, there are four members. The first is this delicate looking warrior. I named him Fior. But in my head, I call him Fio for short. Then, there is Kadaj. I stole the name from Final Fantasy, but the portrait is different. He’s the secondary warrior and specializes in axes. Though his sword skill is also quite high. Next, third in my party is Sabriel. He’s the rogue and has a specialization in daggers. Though, he is also quite skilled in shooting from a bow (crossbow) and with throwing weapons. Still, I prefer for him to use his dagger.

And the last one, that would be Eren, my wizard. Or, spellcaster more likely.

Okay, let’s take them apart one by one more in depth.

Fior

FiorHe’s the youngest in this party. Barely eighteen. Fior, or Fio for short is a prodigy with the sword and his skill is beyond anyone. He is in love with Eren. Fior used to be a son of a wealthy count. But at one point, he just ran off with Eren. Fio was voted the leader of this little group even though he mor often than not asks Eren for advice.

There is elven ancestry in Fior’s blood.

Kadaj

KadajOnly two years older than Fio. Used to be a knight at the kings court. One day he was framed for the murder of the general and he fled to the neighbouring kingdom where he met Fio and Eren. His weapon of choice is the Axe, but can use swords and blunt weapons as well. Is useless when it comes to riddles, but has keen sense of perception and can smell danger. His instincts saved the group more than one time.

Sabriel

SabrielUsed to be a thief. Age 36 and the second oldest. Lived in the western parts of the kingdom and made quite a name for himself. Only for the king to send an army and decimate the whole thievs guild. Sabriel was the only one to survive. He swore vengenance on the king and went to seek power. This was changed when he was caught by the kings men. Only for them to be caught in a landslide as they were transporting him. He would have died if not for Fiors group. At that moment Sabriel swore to protect the young ex-noble at the cost of his life.

Eren

ErenEren used to be the king’s personal wizard. And if it weren’t for the ball, he would still be. But during the ball, he spied the most beautifull creature to walk the earth. Then and there he fell for Fior. And when Fior fell for him, it was only matter of time till they ran off together.

Eren is 39 years old and has demonic ancestry which amplifies his magical skills. So far, there is no known wizard to be better than him.

Unlike many before them, they went to Grimrock to satisfy their curiosity. They let themselves be caught and then they went through the mountain and searched for secrets while trying to understand the purpose of the place.

Now, I’m thinking of making them into a story. I mean, they have background, they have life. At first, this was only ment as a background for four characters from my game. Now, it seems they life on their own, telling me to write about them… I might. :)

I like them. And while I didn’t make the portraits, I made the characters and I own them. I own them the way they are now. So don’t take them from me! Or I might get angry. And you don’t want that to happen.

See ya.

Decisions decisions

Hi,

I’ve got a bit of a problem. You see, I’m writing a story. It is a crossover between Harry Potter and the Forgotten Realms (Drizzt Do’Urden). And now, I’m at a loss. Not with the plotline, that will come as I write, since I’m not one to plan ahead. Only… Should I make Dumbledore the Evil one or Voldemort? Or should I scratch both and make the ministry of magic the bad guys?!

I’m kinda liking the third option. Or some other unknown enemy. Like… Bringing Drizzt’s people into the story. Or maybe… Crossovering it with something else entirely and make it three way. Because… I just don’t want to make Voldemort the bad guy.

Maybe I will make him neutral somehow. I don’t think he can be the purely good guy. Not with his history, even though that could be tweaked some.

And for some reason, I want to keep Dumbledore as a good guy, even if a bit mad and senile. xD He will be the Twinkling idiot. xD

See ya.

Multiple plotline problem

Hi,

I hate when a book has multiple plotilnes. Not because it is hard to read, I actually like reading a book with multiple plotlines. Still, I hate it too. Especially when I want to write about that book. It is almost impossible to write it out. Unless you start writing it when you’re still reading it. Like I’m doing now with the Legend of Drizzt series.

I mean… For writing about, single plotline is much better. Or, if there have to be multiple plotilnes, when they are just momentary occurences. Not when they drag thoughout the whole book! Still, multiple plotlines is a great read. Add in multiple timelines and you will not know what’s going on. Sill, great to read. So… That’s it.

19

Or not.

For writing about a book, two plotlines are still kinda okay. However, it gets much harder when you have four or more of them. That was the case with the Venetian Betrayal and The Templar Legacy, about which I didn’t write. Er… I did, but in czech and haven’t published it yet. It was a good book though. Great one. The first with Cotton Malone as a main character. Written by Steve Berry. I like his books. They have ancient artefacts and take place in the present time.

Okay, that would be all.

See ya.

Heh…

So sory I haven’t posted anything yesterday. I was just feeling too tired to do it. And to be honest, I had a great story and wanted to continue reading. So… That’s why. On the other hand, I am almost finished with reading the fifth book in the Legend of Drizzt series. And already started writing the post about it. So far, the summary is incomplete, but it is already more than a page in word. And yes, I’m actually writing it in word, even though I always preferred open office… Weird… I like the 2010 word. It’s black. xD And yes, that’s the only reason. xD

3

So anyway. I’m thinking about what I could post apart from that, since it’s not finished yet… Any ideas? I just don’t want to post a picture again… It’s getting old… I’d appreciate any tips, but if you don’t wanna give ’em, I’ll just have to think of something myself. xD So you don’t have to give me any tips. It’s up to you.

See ya.

When you just can’t remember

Just now, I re-read a part of one of my stories. And you know what? I realized I did not know where I was planning to go with the story. And that’s probably cause it’s old. Very old. Like three years and the length of what I have is not even a full page. So… I’ll probably have to rethink the whole idea and see where it gets me. I guess I should probably write some notes when I start a story so that I know what I was planning. I think I had a similar problem a while ago with a different story. Which one? Don’t know. But I was rewriting the whole thing.

33828

And now, I’m rewriting a story too. But this time it is not because I don’t remember where I was planning to go with it, but because I don’t like it as a whole. The basic idea, well, it is not so bad, but I just don’t like the style it’w written in. It’s way too old. Like six years or something. And that’s too much. Way too much. And that’s the reason why I’m rewriting it.

5

Oh well… When I actually finish a story in english, I’ll post it. But I see no reason to post stories that are in my mother language, which is czech. As most of you wouldn’t be able to read it. Okay, I’ll go and rewrite that story I was writing about at the begining of this post. See ya.
