Three pics

So, I decided to add some of my newer pics. These three were finished just recently and I had some free time so I used my laptop’s camera and made photos. After I trimmed the pohotos in PhotoFiltre so that I wasn’t in the picture. Or my fingers for that matter.

This first one is of a sitting girl and was inspired by some more or less random pic on pinterest. I’ve been using pinterest as a source of inspiration. It’s great. Pinterest I mean, the picture, could be better but I’m of the opinion that it’s not too bad. Yeah, the proportions are a bit off, but it’s not like I was going for realism so there. Done in colored pencils with a pencil sketch under. Sketch is a bit older than the colores on top. I just recently got the idea to go back into it with color. But all things considered, it didn’T turn out too awfull.

The second pic was probably even more random. I just sketched and some time after went back into it with color. Though to be honest, I like it somewhat more than the first one. Mainly the shading in the face. I tried to make the sleeve kinda seethrough but I don’T think I did a good job of that, other than that though, I’m happy with how it turned out.

Last pic is me experimenting with darker skin tones. And frankly, it lookes darker on paper. The photo probably skewed the colors a bit. And probably not only on this one. But I’m too lazy to plug in my skener so using camera app on my laptop was the better option for me. Faster.

Now about the third picture. Like I said, I tried to experiment with a darker skin tone and exotic lip color. The ear is a bit weird and the lips should be a bit more to the right (from viewer’s point of view), but other than that, I think it turned out pretty good. Yeah, the lip placement is still bothering me. But nothing to be done about it now, considering that it was sketched with a permanent medium. So short of scrapping it and starting over, nothing to be done about it now. But I really like to sketch with a permanent medium. If I don’T, I redraw and erase too much. And this eliminates it.

WEll, that’s the pics. Hope you like them at least a little bit and when I finish more of them, I’ll post them. Again with a short (or not so short) commentary.

Finished dragon

Hi,

I know you’ve seen this dragon before, but! He was missing a wing. And I only realized that after I published the post. So, then I went back to it and added the missing wing. I admit I’m not the best at drawing wings, but I really like this picture.

And I hope you like it as well, at least a little bit. And even if you don’t like it, it would make me happy, if you left a comment.

A dragon

HI!

I’ve got a picture for you guys! You see, my mother was playing Taptiles on my computer today and while she was doing that, I took a pencil and a sheat of paper. And I started doodling lines and other squigles. Then, I decided to turn it into a real drawing. So, a dragon came alive. I had some problems with the legs, mainly the hind legs, but I managed. And that’s because I had a poster of a dragon behind me. I studied the legs and found out they are more cat-like than the horse like legs I’ve been always drawing. And this improved my dragon-drawing skills.

The front legs are still a bit of a challenge, but that’s probably because I just don’t know what to do with them. This time though, they came out kinda nicely. So that is good. And even the head came out nicely.

Okay, enough talk, here he is!

Haima

My used to be DF rogue character. I don’t have her anymore. But never mind that, I don’t play rogues anymore either. At least not in DragonFable. They seem weak. At least in this game. As for the picture itself, I like how the shading is done. I’m not sure about the neck, it looks a bit of… Something about it just doesn’t seem right. Doesn’t matter… As a whole, I like this picture. Maybe not so much as some of my other pictures, like Hisoka, or Leon or Atobe, but yes, I like it. See ya.

 

DF dragon

This is a very old picture of a newly hatched DF dragon pet. It’s done in PhotoFiltre and with a mouse. It was my first half serious attempt at digital drawing. For that, I think it’s not so bad. Maybe I’ll do another version that would be done in Photoshop and with a tablet. I’m not sure though. Anyway, tell me what you think, okay?

Digital Daniel

Hi, this time, I’ve got a digital picture for ya. It’s again my character Daniel from DF. This time, however, it’s not a spin of but the actuall character. Done with mouse, as it was when I didn’t have a tablet yet. For a mouse, I think it’s not so bad. As for the background, it’s done with the help of a mask. I had a version without the stars, but I like this one better. : ) And you? What do you think?See ya.

Daniel in markers

Hi, I’ve got two picteres. Old. Seveeral years old. Both are based on DragonFable though. This first one is a spin of of my character Daniel. A mage. In original, he’s all in black and has a different staff. This staff is based on the Dark Magician’s one. (From Yu-Gi-Oh!) Also, this is one of my first tries using the Faber Caster brush nib markers. For about second or so try, I think it’s good. :)And as for this second one, it was done later. Also with the markers. Only, it’s not really a DF character. Based on it, yes. But this Daniel, cause it is Daniel, is more futuristic, even post-apocalyptic. As for the pose, it’s weird. Very much so. Also, at the very begining, the picture was based on the song Guardian Angel from Groove Coverage. Nope, not one of my better works. Definitely not. See ya.

Captain Rolith

Hi, this time, I’ve got a picture of Rolith, an NPC character from DragonFable. Again. And again for the picture too. I’m to lazy to think of something else to write about – today. But back to the picture. Done in green colored pencil. I love how the hair turned out. The neck and the shirt could have been much better. But I like the face and the hair, which I think are the main parts. Oh, and it’s a pretty old picture. From the end of the year 2009. Therefore I was in my second year of hign school at that time. So, do you like it? At least a little bit? Tell me! See ya!

Artix

Hey, this time, I’ve got Artix. And again, he’s from DragonFable. Only, I modernized his clothes. Originally, he’s wearing armor. Like, plate armor. Heavy. Other than that, I like this picture very much. done in brown colored pencil. On (obviously) yellow paper. However, it is very very old and I think I would have done a better job today. And now, that I’m talking about it, why not. Yes, I’ll redo him. And this time, I might even do the plate armor. Oh and he will be in color. Or in pencil. Not in colored pencil wielded like a pencil. So I hope you like it at least a little bit. If you do, coment, will ya? I’d love to read what you think about it. :)

Aquella

This picture is of an NPC from DragonFable. Her name is Aquella and if I’m reading it correctly, the picture is about three years old. Done with colored pencils and I have to say, that I’m mostly dissatisfied with it. I don’t know why, but that’s the truth. I like the hair and the corral on the side of her forhead. But that’s about it. Maybe I’ll redo it one day. Or more likely, just draw another one. So, what do you think?See ya.
